Dropped the XJ off at Jaguar dealership to see if they can sort the “recalibration” following a recent windscreen replacement.
Auto windscreens first fitted an none OEM screen and calibration failed, went back 3 week late for them to swap that out for an OEM screen but calibration still failed.
Jaguar technicians are also have problems and have been at it for 2hrs.
They are talking about having to remove the screen and refit it !
Why do things have to be made so complicated.
These darn cars are full of safety and driving assist features. There is a camera that looks through the screen that controls some of these and they need calibration after a windscreen change.Recalibrating what? HUD? Heaters? Wipers?
Glad my old XJ6 has got none of that nonsense for sure. These darn cars are full of safety and driving assist features. There is a camera that looks through the screen that controls some of these and they need calibration after a windscreen change.
Personally I would rather not have the features !! but am stuck with them and without calibration the dash it lit up like a Maserati needing a wheel bearing
